1970 Ford Mustang Convertible project car, equipped with a 302 V8 engine and automatic transmission. US import from Arizona, but previously registered in New York state. The car carries an old NY emission inspection sticker from 1993, showing that it was still on the road at that time, shortly before the current mileage reading. It was later registered in Arizona as a project vehicle after suffering rear-end damage.
A solid and largely complete restoration candidate with good potential. The engine turns freely by hand. The car is sold as a non-running project requiring full mechanical recommissioning and restoration work.
The rear end has sustained significant accident damage in the past. New replacement rear quarter panels and a new rear valance panel are included with the sale. The trunk floor and rear structure will require repair and alignment work. The car also needs additional welding repairs to the underside and floors. Perforative rust is also visible on the bonnet, as well as a cut-out section of the lower front fender.
The front radiator support and part of the right front inner fender are currently missing. The passenger seat base and seat rails are missing as well; the upper/back section of the seat is included. Various removed and spare parts are included with the car. Please check the pictures for further reference.
The convertible top frame is present, as well as much of the interior and trim. The chassis and frame structure appear usable overall and the car presents itself as an honest, unrestored project rather than a heavily concealed or over-restored example.
According to the VIN, the car was originally equipped with a 302 V8 engine. The engine currently installed appears to be the correct-type Ford small block V8 with factory-style 2-barrel carburetor setup.
An increasingly collectible first-generation Mustang convertible restoration project with V8 power and good parts availability.
Price: € 9.900
