1966 Austin Healey 3000 Mk3 for restoration

This Austin Healey 3000 Mk3 phase 2 BJ8 was delivered new in the United States, in ice blue metallic with a black interior.

The car was last registered in 1969 in Washington DC and has since then been neglected for at least two decades. It is in horribly bad condition.

The car needs to be restored from the ground up, using a new chassis and new inner and outer body sections.

The Healey has a complete drive train, with overdrive transmission. Not surprisingly, the engine is locked up and needs to be completely rebuilt.

Many parts are damaged beyond repair and need to be replaced. Missing parts include both seat frames and other interior parts, the fuel gauge and body trim parts.

Restoring this Austin Healey will be an epic job, but certainly worthwhile now that brand new chassis frames are available.
