This beautifully restored TEF-20 represents the rare transitional period between Ferguson Ltd. and the newly formed Massey-Harris-Ferguson company. It carries the original Massey-Harris-Ferguson identification plate — a model produced only for a few years before the introduction of the Massey-Ferguson 35.
About fifteen years ago, the tractor underwent a thorough restoration. The chassis was sandblasted, treated with epoxy primer and refinished in high-gloss 2K automotive paint.
The result is far superior to the factory finish — smooth, deep and polished to a car-level standard. Paintwork follows the later red-and-grey Massey-Ferguson colour scheme, giving the tractor a distinctive and elegant appearance.
Mechanically, the tractor runs and drives very well. A routine service is due; coolant hoses could be replaced, and the linkage to the starter motor adjusted. Minor oil seepage is visible. Instruments are not original and the aftermarket light switch needs to be replaced.
