The Jaguar XJS has gained momentum in recent years. Jaguar's sleek coupé with its silky smooth V12 is finally being recognised as a great classic and an icon in the brand's history. Read more about it in our blog post about the XJS...
Our XJS V12 coupé was built in November 1987 and first registered in 1988. We acquired it in California, still in factory original paint.
The Jaguar's body is in rust-free, damage-free condition. All panels are still showing the original VIN stickers and the paint is factory original, except for the right front fender. Bright Californian sunshine has caused the clear coat to weather and peel off. Hence, the body will need to be repainted.
The interior is original, in need of some refurbishment work. Some loose stitches on the leather seats and weathered wood panels.
According to the service booklet, the car was dealer serviced until 1993, at 55.000 mls. Current mileage is 93.679. As can be seen in an AutoCheck VIN report, the XJS was hardly used in the past 10 years, with only a mere 4.000 mls put on since 2008. 3 registered owners (new-2001, 2001-2014, 2014-2020). Despite the car running and driving well, it will need recommissioning work before being safely roadworthy.
A solid survivor XJS that deserves to be brought back to former glory.
