The Suzuki SJ40 Samurai was launched in 1981. Being a lightweight, rugged off-road vehicle, it was capable of outperforming many heavy 4x4’s when the going got tough. Early Suzuki Samurais have earned their stripes, resulting in growing popularity for this little cult-4x4. This particular 1984 Suzuki SJ410 came to us as a trade-in car.
Early Suzuki Samurais are prone to rust and solid examples are getting increasingly hard to find. Our SJ410’s body is well-preserved for the most part, showing repair work in the rear corners and some light bubbling around the plastic wheel arch covers. Showing what we believe is factory original paint, the car has various traces of use (scratches, small dents, stone chips and some peeling clear coat on the rear side panels).
The interior shows its age on the vinyl seat upholstery. Dashboard, steering wheel and door panels are in good condition. 47.660 km on the odometre. The temperature gauge does not work and the aftermarket radio sticks out of the console. The soft top is in good used, undamaged condition.
The Samurai runs and drives well and recently passed the strict German technical inspection (TüV valid until 03/2022). 963 cc engine, with a slightly raised suspension and wide wheels. A set of 4 original wheels and tyres is included, in order for the car to pass technical inspection. Also included is a folder with a stack of recent service and parts invoices. Recent service includes an oil change, timing belt, water pump, coolant hoses and radiator (04/2020). Some extra spare parts: spare cylinder head, gearbox, transfer case, steering wheel, white summer convertible top and cover, mirrors, driving lights and some service parts.
Excellent value for a well-driving and well preserved example of this little cult 4x4.
