Flamenco red 1978 MGB roadster, imported from California. This is a project car for a light restoration, possibly in combination with a chrome bumper conversion.
Having had one respray in its original colour, the car looks presentable but needs attention to be made perfect. It has a mostly solid body, with rust damage to the sills (covered up by bondo) and some light bubbling on the lower front fenders. Typical stress crack on the passenger's side door panel, above the mirror.
The interior is in fair condition, but could be improved. The driver's side seat's vinyl upholstery is damaged and there is a crack on top of the dashboard. Carpets are in fair condition, with optional rubber floor mats. 72.358 mls on the odometre. A new vinyl soft top is included, as well as a tonneau cover and a jack.
The car needs some mechanical attention. Its engine runs, but the inlet manifold has a vacuum leak, affecting the Weber carburettor's fuel delivery. Check the video of the engine running, while manually closing the choke valve. Excellent oil pressure and no mechanical knocks. The radiator has a leak on top and needs to be replaced. Fluids look clean, new exhaust and good tyres. A battery is not included.
Perfect hands-on project if you want to create a perfect MGB on a tight budget.
