Usable driver with visible imperfections – priced accordingly.
This 1975 Triumph TR6 was imported from Ontario, Canada and is finished in Carmine Red with a black interior. It is a well-driving car that shows imperfections and clear traces of use, making it a realistic and honestly presented classic rather than a cosmetic showpiece.
The chassis frame shows surface rust. The rear suspension outriggers were repaired in the past, and the breast plate displays corrosion. The body has received an older respray. Rust is present in the floorboards, and the door skins show paint bubbling. The rear panel above the rear wheels has cracking body filler and peeling paint, clearly an area that will require attention. The sill panels have been repaired previously. A small area of light perforative rust is visible in one corner of the trunk.
Mechanically, the car runs and drives well and can be enjoyed as-is, although a general service check is recommended. The gearbox shifts nicely, but the main bearing produces a light whining noise. The 5-digit odometre shows 00227 mls.
The interior is in fairly decent condition with age-appropriate wear. The soft top has a tear and should be replaced. The car sits on good Michelin tyres but is missing the spare wheel. It is fitted with an aftermarket radio and comes with one set of keys.
This TR6 is best suited for someone looking for a usable classic with character, who is not afraid to address cosmetic and structural issues over time.
