1971 Triumph Stag Mk1

This early Mk1 Triumph Stag left the factory in Sienna Brown, destination USA. In the late 1970’s, the Triumph V8 motor was exchanged for a 2.8 litre Ford V6, linked to an automatic transmission. At the same time, the car was painted red.

We acquired it in Oregon, where it had sat neglected for several years. This car can be used for parts, but could also still be restored with new body panels and repair sections.

The outer body panels show severe rust damage. Underneath the car, the frame rails appear to have been well preserved. Some rust damage to the floor panels, which at this point could probably still be patched.

We have not tried to start the engine, but can confirm that it turns by hand. The Ford V6 is equiped with a Holley carburettor and electronic ignition, linked to an automatic transmission. Aftermarket wheels.

The interior needs to be completely renovated. Current mileage is 49.903 and the car has one ignition key only. The soft top needs to be replaced and the hard top has rust damage to the rear glass pilars.
