1969 MG MGC roadster

This MGC Roadster was last registered in 1985, after sustaining moderate damage to the left-hand side. The car was never repaired and has remained largely untouched since, making it an honest and complete restoration project.

The body structure appears solid overall, with typical rust in the sills and floor sections. Importantly, the inner front structure remains straight and unaffected by the accident damage. The door apertures are straight and the door opens and closes correctly. We have sourced and installed a replacement front wing and replacement door, making the car structurally complete again. The left rear quarter panel will require repair or replacement. The aluminium bonnet is dented and would need to be carefully beaten back into shape.

A British Motor Museum Heritage Certificate confirms this is a numbers-matching example, fitted with the desirable factory overdrive transmission. The car was originally delivered in Snowberry White with a black interior and was repainted once in the past.

The original engine is present. It has never been seized and turns freely by hand. The drivetrain should be considered a recommissioning or rebuild project. A replacement left steering arm was recently sourced in the UK to replace the original unit that was damaged in the period accident.

The interior is complete but heavily weathered and requires full restoration. The odometer shows 97.676 miles.

An increasingly rare opportunity to acquire a matching numbers MGC Roadster with overdrive, offered as a straightforward and honest restoration candidate.
