This 1981 Corvette C3 was built in October 1981 in Bowling Green KY. Its factory upper body colour was beige, with a dark bronze lower body and camel interior.
We recently imported the Corvette from the US state of California. It has been off the road for about 15 years, after being parked with a leaking head gasket. Still running on starter fluid, the Corvette needs to be completely restored at this point.
The body needs to be thoroughly renovated, showing weathered paint and damage to the fibreglass front.
The chassis is solid and straight, with only light surface rust.
The 350 small block V8 turns by hand and runs shortly on starter fluid. It has a coolant leak on cylinder nr 3 on the left hand cylinder head. Assume that the engine would need at least a partial rebuild, as do the other mechanical components. A battery is not included.
The interior needs to be renovated. As a result of the California sun, the dashboard top is cracked and the steering wheel trim has crumbled. 02.191 mls on the odometre. 4 keys.
A nice project car for a thorough restoration or custom build.
