This MGB was delivered new to the USA, in Pageant Blue with tan interior trim. A thorough body restoration was started but never finished. The car is now being sold as-is, waiting to be finished.
The body is in well-preserved condition. Replacement of the sills was started by cutting out the lower fenders and outer sills, revealing mostly solid inner sill panels. The body was properly reinforced, to prevent the car from sagging and preserve correct panel gaps. New sills and fender repair panels are included. Floor panels are solid, with the exception of two small patchable areas on the rear side. Most of the outer body panels appear to have been brought down to bare metal, covered up with a coat of grey primer.
The condition of the MGB’s engine is unknown, other than that it turns by hand. A carburettor conversion was caried out in the past, replacing the single Stromberg with a Weber. Standard 4-speed gearbox.
The interior looks to be complete and needs to be renovated. 62.831 mls on the odometer, believed to be original. All parts included with this MG have been pictured. The car appears to be complete, but might be missing a few minor items.
A solid and straightforward restoration project for practical enthusiasts.
